So I’m trying to write an article… I think… not sure if it’s going anywhere really. But I’d like to write an article addressing the whole question of the Black Bloc, strategy, accountability, and all that jazz that seems to have become such a big deal thanks to Chris Hedges steaming pile of strawman nonsense. There have been some better pieces (Graeber’s response, for one. I enjoyed that.) But I’ve got a point or two that don’t seem to have been made yet, so, uh, Ima give it a go.

Thanks to the internet and the unserious level of writing I do here most of the time (make a point, but always only dismissively and half assedly, assuming my audience already feels the same way and knows the same things) I find myself writing a sentence like “Hedges says this” then wanting to follow it up with an “ORLY?” Ack! I know how to write more serious things but I never do! If I want to write for real I have to actually write. I am going to write. Hold me to it, will you?
